As part of the University's commitment to providing the most advanced teaching and learning environments, a state-of-the-art Language Centre has recently been established in The Peter Froggatt Centre. This provides language facilities unparalleled elsewhere in Britain and Ireland and its revolutionary interactive multimedia teaching systems called CAN-8 VIRTUALAB - the first to be installed in the UK - puts Queen's at the forefront of Computer Assisted Language Learning.
"Queen's long-standing commitment to working with the local business community is one of the cornerstones of our mission to provide access to quality for the benefit of our staff, our students and Northern Ireland as a whole. This commitment is exemplified by this new state-of-the-art language centre, which not only tailors courses to meet individual business needs, but also provides the business community, and our students, with language-learning facilities which are among the best in the United Kingdom". Professor George Bain, Vice-Chancellor
